From within the heart of the Jewellery Quarter lies Vanessa's workshop where she designs and hand creates beautiful, exclusive one-off pieces. Vanessa believes in designing with a smile in mind; that every piece of jewellery made is made to be loved, cherished and enjoyed by those who wear them, with a vision that those pieces, brand new or remodelled from once forgotten, unworn or sentimental jewellery, will be handed down through the generations. Your journey can start with an email via the form below where you are welcome to send Vanessa details of your ideas (and if you don't know the specifics that's ok!) and images of styles you love including your budget and we can discuss your idea further. At this point your enquiry is just that an enquiry and there is no pressure from Vanessa to proceed further.  Take me to the form

When you are happy to proceed...

After the initial conversation, Vanessa may invite you to the workshop for ring measurement or to bring your jewellery for remodelling in to the workshop. Vanessa will sketch a small selection of designs with an estimate for each design which will be emailed to you for you to consider and approve, this will be with you approximately 1-2 weeks after your initial appointment.

Your jewellery...

Once you have approved the design and are ready to proceed, Vanessa will invoice you for 50% of the total cost or the entire amount, once received she will start to make your new piece of jewellery. Although Vanessa will try to accommodate your timeframe please allow approximately 6-10 weeks for your commission. Vanessa uses a variety of techniques to realise your design, this may be hand fabricated from metal or hand-carved in wax and cast in precious metal, all designs are hand finished and stone set in house. Sometimes Vanessa uses the expert skills of local craftspeople to help with the creation of your design such as a lapidarist if a stone requires recutting or polishing, CAD designers (if this is a suitable option) and platers. If you are having jewellery remodelled Vanessa will design so that the piece is entirely made in the workshop to ensure that 100% of your metal is used in your jewellery only adding in new metal where required. All jewellery is hallmarked at Birmingham Assay Office where they test the purity of metal before applying the hallmark and Vanessa's own sponsors mark.

Collection...

As soon as your jewellery is ready we will be in touch. If not already paid in full an invoice for the final amount will be emailed to you and once received delivery or collection will be arranged.

After…

If you need any slight alterations such as a ring resize or chain adjustment, Vanessa is happy to do this free of charge for the first resize/adjustment.
